This was our first post-pandemic live event in Amsterdam and it took place smack in the middle of the city center, at the historical artist-run space and former printing-press Vrij Paleis on Sunday 31 July 2022!

Inspired by the original function of Vrij Paleis as a printing press, and the swelling tide of issues developing in our times, we entitled our auction: Issue!² Yes, as in the issue of a newspaper but also allowing for broader definitions of the word such as: the matter in question, a predicament, a consequence, a version of something, or a thing under discussion.

So many artists responded to our open call that in order to accommodate as many of the wonderful works we received, that we decided to divide DD#15 — Issue!² into two installments, winter and summer editions, both taking place in the same location.

This summer edition featured 54 artworks by artists from Amsterdam, Berlin, Italy and beyond!

The summer was hot, breezy and fun, and Oedipus beers flowed freely to cool us off in the heated atmosphere of the auction! Our catalogue was printed on a broadsheet newspaper to reflect the spirit and history of the venue.
