Dear Art-Lovers, Artists, Collectors, and Friends,
This Valentines’ Day, reveal your love and find your art match by placing your bids in our upcoming online auction, Dead Darlings #13 — Love for Sale: Alles moet weg? You have three days to find your darlings, bidding starts at noon on February 12th, and closes at 18:00 sharp on February 14th, during the Stampa videocast marathon. All proceeds from the sales go toward supporting W139! Over 170 artists donated their works in an incredible show of generosity and solidarity!
On February 14th, W139, talkshow Stampa and Dead Darlings come together, offering artists and our community at large, a chance to stand stronger together against the reality of defunding and the threat of shutting down this iconic and historical Amsterdam institution!
All works will begin at the starting price of 50 euro. Yes, we are serious... Inclusivity requires a low threshold but does not require abandoning our standards.
The auction is anonymous*, adding excitement to the event, democratising the works, and helping to demonstrate that their value here, –in this context– is determined not by the art market, but by their contribution to our community, and the love they reflect from their makers and convey into their future homes.

*All contributing artists’ names are listed alphabetically, and will be revealed in connection with the piece soon after the close of the auction at 18:00 on February 14th, the names of the makers will be added to the corresponding works on the auction platform, and available to the general public for days to come.
The auction will come to a close during the 8 hour videocast of talkshow Stampa, live from the window of W139. From 12 — 8pm hosts Sacha Bronwasser and Gover Meit will receive a flux of guests from the arts, culture and media. The common goal is to support W139 in these hard times and to secure it for the city center, the art community and the public.
The show is streamed on Stampa’s Youtubechannel.
Most of the 170 works included in the auction will be present at W139, and on and off, will be visible during the live stream.
